Bike Innovation Scotland is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, including those with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive disabilities. We want everyone to be able to find out about our work, facilities, and programmes without barriers.

This statement applies to the website at www.bikeinnovationscotland.com operated as a partnership between Edinburgh Napier University and South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE).

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

Information on any non-compliant items are below:

  • 2.2 AAA: 1.4.6 Contrast (Enhanced): 4.66:1 current contrast of black text on orange, for AAA looks for 7.1. 
  • 2.2 AAA: Target Size (Enhanced) (Level AAA): 44 by 44 is the required AAA standard, currently at 20 by 15. 
  • We acknowledge that PDFs on our website may not be fully accessible due to the nature of PDFs intended for print.

 

What we're doing to improve accessibility 

This website was tested after the build of the site in July 2026 . The site has been tested using various assistive technologies, such as:

  • Microsoft Windows Speech Recognition
  • VoiceOver
  • ZoomText
  • Wave
  • Developer tools code audit (Lighthouse)

Accessibility forms part of our ongoing improvement plans for the website.
