Bike Innovation Scotland, through South of Scotland Enterprise and Edinburgh Napier’s Bright Red Triangle services and their partners, will support you to start up, grow and make critical decisions for your business or organisation focused on both the specialist knowledge of the Mountain Bike and Outdoor sector but also the core business fundamental. From business planning to securing funding to marketing and digital and AI skills.

Supply Chain and Bike Cluster

Ahead of opening the new centre Bike Innovation Scotland will map the supply chain and create a new cycling sector cluster group with partners offering networking events, CPD training opportunities, data sharing opportunities and more.

Programmes and Targeted Support

Startup, Incubator Design Support and Accelerators

The successful First Tracks programme will continue to be run, but the physical sessions will now be in the new Caerlee Mill. This popular programme is a great example of how the centre will work, it gives the confidence, builds the skills and support for outdoor tourism business to set up and start to trade across the UK.

Watch this space for new product, design and innovation programmes coming in 2027 onwards.

Specialist Equipment for the Cycling Industry - Grant Funding

Up to £2.1 million of Borderlands Inclusive Growth Deal funding has been allocated to SOSE to support the development of cycling innovation, research, testing and supply chain capability within the Scottish Borders. Anyone can apply for this in the Scottish Borders.
